Dr. Peter Forster is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco and former Medical Director of Community Mental Health Services for the City and County of San Francisco. He is the Chair of the Public Psychiatry Committee of the California Psychiatric Association, Vice President of the International Association for Emergency Psychiatry, a past President of the American Association for Emergency Psychiatry, and President of Gateway Psychiatric Services, a medical corporation that focuses on consultation to mental health systems and continuing medical education programs for community psychiatry and primary care.
